Threw a Code

My car threw a CEL, code 3 (map sensor) tonight. I tuned my a/f at the dyno with my v-afc a few days ago. Could this be the source of my problem? I heard that at least one other R owner had trouble with the v-afc. Is my car ok to drive until I find the root of the problem? Thanks for everyone's help!

It will run like sh1t and your gas mileage will be terrible, but you can limp around. I would stay away from any street races for now...

The problem with the AFC's is that you cannot set the fuel over +8% to +10% it will throw a code.. if you have any areas on the graph that are above +8% then try lowering it. i'm sure that will solve the problem

Thanks for the advice. The maximum deviation that I have programmed with the afc is -4%, nowhere near 10%. The car doesn't seem to be in limp mode, it still makes power, but I am hesitant to tromp on the throttle. I'll check the continuity of my MAP sensor to ECU connection; hoping its just a loose connection. I also heard that a vacuum leak can cause the code, so I'll check for leaks as well. I was more concerned that I can drive the car safely until I find the problem.

Arggh! Jim, you were right. My car went into limp mode this morning with the CEL still on. After driving around for an hour or so, the CEL stayed on, but the car started to drive normal again. I'm going to look for loose vacuum hoses tonight.
